Featured in Daily Deviations, 20th June

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 8, 2009, 5:48 AM
  • Mood: Astonished
My story 'Everyone's Claustrophobic', located at my old account ~alfakim, became a Daily Deviation on 20th June 2009!

Thanks to =Iscariot-Priest for suggesting it and ^StJoan for the feature. It was great to receive so many nice comments on my prose, so thank you to everyone else who has read it. I also got a bunch of faves, which has made my piece (as of time of writing) the 3rd most popular work of all time in the Prose/Philosophical category on deviantART.

I still intend to transfer all my old prose to this new account, but only after it's been significantly reworked. Meanwhile, I am frying much bigger fish.

Thank you so much for favouriting my DD photo!

Look at us. Look at what they make you give.

Hello, I found myself at your gallery and tried for HOURS to solve those darn mind puzzles. :) If you made those into a calendar, I would totally buy it.

What a cute idea - maybe I will. Glad you liked :)

Congratulations on the DD - can't say I remembered it to begin with, but as I started re-reading it, it all came back!
What wonderful news!
To think that was all those years ago, and someone still came across it, deep in the fabric of dA.
Congrats again, speak soon I hope.
Trust all is well, let me know anyway.

The Moving Finger writes, and, having writ,
Moves on; nor all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all your Tears blot out a Word of it.

Thanks Sam! I was quite chuffed. I am usually very critical of prose on dA, especially the featured stuff, and I treat my own no differently. It could have been written much, much better (I had hoped to transfer all my old stuff to my new account after reworking it a bit). All the same it was nice to get so many comments from people who enjoyed the story.

I am well. How are you? Dan told me you have been to America to see your girlfriend. How did that go?
:iconspamuel:
It went amazingly thanks -- She is even more interesting in real life than she is on line, in some ways :) and I think I managed to go pretty much the whole time I was there without doing anything too silly, managed to whisper about all of the souvenirs under my breath.

ROFL! Me, you and Dante have CURSED ourselves with that word! I feel compelled to do it no matter what the company, it's excruciating!

Glad you had a great time. When will she be visiting the UK?
:iconspamuel:
Hopefully next summer. It's not impossible. :P
